Felix's story
Felix was picked up on 19th October 2018 from an empty house in the village of Markopoulo.
He was literally smothered in lesions from the tip of his nose to the end of his tail and it was originally thought that his injuries had been caused by the bush fires that had happened a couple of weeks earlier. However, when he was checked over by the vet, she immediately realised that they were the result of Leishmaniasis.
Since then, he has been cared for by Madeline Nineham and she has been able to improve his skin condition considerably with daily applications of skin creams and Zylapour tablets.
Later he needed a course of the expensive Milteforan syrup followed by further treatment of Zylapour, which he will now probably need for the rest of his life.
Felix is now in a foster family in the U.K.
My character
Felix is an affectionate and confident boy who is just content to be at Stepping Stones after all the misery he has suffered. He loves lots of attention and will happily approach new people. He can be sociable with other dogs and enjoys playing with a few special friends. However, he doesn't always get along well with other male dogs. Now he is older we haven't had any arguments between him and another male dog, maybe he got over it. :)
He is 22 kg, tip of nose to tail 77cm, height 42 cm.
